Rides for you

Out and back

Out and back along a river path, to a desert park or up a mountain road. Rides start and finish in Tucson unless they name another start. Easiest first.

Loops

A round trip that comes home another way. Rides start and finish in Tucson unless they name another start. Easiest first.

Each map is drawn to its own scale, north up; the dot is the start. Elevation is drawn to one scale on every card, coloured by slope as on the ride pages. Easiest first means the shortest estimated riding time at a sporty pace, which counts the climbing.

Rides are modelled from OpenStreetMap and terrain data and are not field-checked yet. Times here are estimates at a sporty pace. Catalogue access does not mean a ride fits your ability or available time. Low traffic stress includes quiet/shared streets, not just separated paths. Check current conditions before you go. Saguaro National Park charges $15 a rider for 7 days (under 16 free), and Cactus Forest Drive has no water. Bikes may ride into Sabino Canyon only before 9 am and after 5 pm, and not on Wednesdays or Saturdays. The map shows no shoulder on the Catalina Highway, so Mount Lemmon reads busier than it rides; snow can close the top in winter. From May to September highs pass 90 °F: ride at dawn and carry plenty of water. Floods close parts of The Loop after storms.
