Rides are joined where they pass nearest you.
Your whole outing, with time for stops. All rides start and finish at the Rijksmuseum passage.
Off unless you turn it on. When on, this page sends which rides you were shown, opened, compared and chose, so we can suggest better ones: no location, no account. What is sent
Rides are modelled from OpenStreetMap and terrain data and are not field-checked yet. Ranges show estimated riding time at your level’s pace; the outing budget also allows for stops. Low traffic stress includes quiet/shared streets, not just separated paths. Check current conditions before you go.

Yes. The city is flat and full of cycle tracks. Our Vondelpark ride is 3 km with 99% on bike paths and quiet streets, and the steepest 500 m is 1%. The Amsterdamse Bos ride is 15 km at 100%.
Busy junctions and the crowded centre still need care. Each ride shows its share on busier roads.

The canals, the Vondelpark, the Amstel and Waterland. The canal ring is 6 km. The Amstel to Ouderkerk is 20 km. The Waterland loop to Marken and Monnickendam is 57 km. All 18 rides start at the cycle passage through the Rijksmuseum.
We pick rides from open map data, not from lists: each one shows its distance, climbing and share on busier roads, side by side.

Hire from a shop, near Centraal Station, the Dam or Leidseplein. A city bike costs about 14 to 19 EUR for 24 hours: 14.50 at Frédéric, 17.95 at MacBike, 18.50 at Yellow Bike. Donkey Republic rents by app from hubs around the city. Ask about theft cover when you book.
No. Cycling without a helmet is allowed. Lights matter more: use a front and a back light after dark. Lock the bike to something fixed and park only at racks. Bikes left elsewhere are removed, and getting one back costs 25 EUR.
At a junction with no signs or lights, traffic from your right goes first, and that includes bikes. White triangles on the road, called shark teeth, mean give way. Trams go first. Cross tram rails at a sharp angle. Stay off pavements. Do not use a phone or earphones while you ride.
Yes. Our Zaanse Schans ride is 54 km, the Marken loop is 57 km, and the Volendam and Edam ride is 60 km. They cross the IJ by the Schellingwouderbrug cycle track. The free ferries behind Centraal Station also carry bikes, so you can cross there.
